Western state law school is a private profitable America law school in Fullerton, California. It is commonly famous as the Western State University College of Law and is the oldest law school here. The student who graduate from this law school consist of hundreds of prosecutors and public defenders throughout the state, more alumni on the judicial bench in the region than any other law school, and countless professionals in private practice, in administrative and government positions within state and local bar, and in a number of diverse ethnic and gender-related organizations. In fact both full-time and part-time programs are offered here. An important to be mentioned here is that it is not affiliated with the California State University.

The campus is basically located across the street from Cal State Fullerton, at 111N. State College Blvd. There are two buildings: the primary building and the library. In the primary building, there are all the classrooms and faculty offices, the mock trial courtroom, the admissions office, a student lounge, a student organizations room, the financial aid office, and the career services department. Besides, the library has computer labs and the legal materials.

The education is imparted in the western state law school in such a manner that the teaching methods include small group instruction, individualized support, and the application of new techniques through technology. In the school, both law and practice skills are taught to the students for becoming bright professionals. With the help of computerized technology and Internet-based educational forums, students can grasp things properly.

Apart from this, there is also a Criminal Law Centre and Business Law Centre. Most of the graduates from this famous law school have their prosecutor and public defender offices in Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino County. The Criminal Law Practice Centre came into existence to provide additional educational and practical opportunities for its students and alumni. In this program, efforts are made to expand the teaching of criminal law far beyond the traditional law school curriculum. People like law school legal scholars, judges, practicing criminal defence attorneys, prosecutors, legislators, law enforcement officers, and community leaders participate in enriching the educational experience of the students.

The Business Law Centre helps the students by providing them with strong academic and practical preparation for legal careers advising corporate entities, small businesses and entrepreneurs in all aspects of business law. The students get skilled and get a lot of practical experience as well as networking contacts.

In the year 2008, during the summers, the western state law school entered into an agreement associated with Knowledge Investment Partners (KIP) for the sale of the law school. It also secured the approval of the American Bar Association, the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, the Department of Education as well as the other agencies. Since KIP did not provide certain assurances to the school so the agreement terminated. According to the law school, the acquisition will not occur and the Education Management Corporation will own the law school.
